From an impatient type's point of view... ;)
You ever notice how slow missiles are to fire off? Well, *I* have, and it has NOTHING whatsoever to do with how much damage those slow moving buggers can do. After my wonderous Minuit got me interested in the fit of some ships I just learned how to fly, we were pouring over EFT (such an awesome EVE tool, you must get it if you haven't already done so!) I discovered, to my disgust, that the reason I was so frustrated at how long it was taking me to go from targeting one 'rat with my guns, missiles, turrets, whatever it is you diehards call it, was because it WAS TAKING 25 SECONDS TO CYCLE! Now that's just crazy talk *shaking head*, how is someone supposed to have fun pressing buttons and the like when you can only do it twice a minute! Well, as I was saying, between EFT and my Minuit, I discovered the Arbalest! They are expensive but well worth the ISK in MY opinion! Now it only takes me about 12 seconds to fire off one of those bad boys AND I can train that time down (believe me, he went shopping and picked me up some missile books - apparently less than 50K in Missile Launcher Operation skill points not so good :)
Next... anyone ever pilot an Exhumer? Well let me tell you they are slower than molasses. Next, anyone ever pilot an Orca? Oh my gosh, they make my Exhumer look fast, that molasses has obviosly been out in the winter cold when in the Orca! Well, I discovered the Microwarp Drive! They (the 10mn) will take your Orca from 0 to 80 in 10 seconds instead of the usual 15-20 ;) I can't wait to try the 100mn variety! I might even get my whale of a ship up to 100m per second! Same thing with the Exhumer, guess who's got Microwarp Drives on their list of things to buy the next time he goes shopping for me!

POS Bashing...
No, it's not what some people might think... I am going to bash POS stuff verbally (or should that be 'typally'? ;), not literally, not with guns, missiles, or whatever else you might think of...
Oh my goodness, I can see why people just leave their POSs behind when deciding they've had enough. I can see why they might say to themselves, 'Ahh, just a half billion dollar loss to leave it behind.' it's a right pain in the hinder to move everything, and we only moved it one jump away. And to have two different corps trying to do so? All I can say about that is 'Thank goodness we didn't have the guns online yet...' *shakes head*
The time spent working out who is going to do what, then discovering, 'Darn, that character doesn't have anchoring to 3 yet, can't anchor the warp disruption array yet' (but now that I think about it, thank goodness that character didn't have it, remember those issues regarding two different corporations trying to work on the new (and old) POS?? probably would have had more than just the one ship loss as the old POS still had its guns online)...
And just the time spent on offlining, unanchoring (crap, gotta go empty that medium gun array, lets go 60m/second alllllll the way up to the top of the force field) and finally scooping it up to the cargo hold. Then the next day, deciding to take a few more things down, offline them, unanchor (crap, you guessed it, repeat yesterdays mistake go all the way up top, but this time I make Min help me with that speedy little ship of his down below and I remember to bookmark one of the guns and simply warp out warp back in!!! Who says women can't drive...;), and finally scoop it up.
Then in comes time to finally offline the old tower. Crap, we don't have enough room to store all the fuel still left in the tower, too much for even jettisoned cargo container, so after discovering there is more than Min's ship will hold, two containers will hold, off I go to get my hauler. Whew, that disaster averted.
Time to unanchor it... Min is smart, Min remembers to go put out some core scanners and see if any new signatures have popped up. well.. loe and behold, but a new siggie popped up. The most evil of all siggies if you don't want it, that's right, an exit (entrance?) to HIGH SEC space... *wilts* It was already late, we were ready for a bowl of popcorn and a good movie, so now we have to go fiddle with the ships put away (keep in mind the logistics of working different ships in a POS with two different corps) and get out our WH killas of doom. Then we weren't able to safely destroy the high sec entrance, but at least we managed to disable it enough so pilots with a working half a brain would leave it alone. Then I'm on one entrance, Leilani on the other and Min unanchoring the old tower... Min tells me watch the monitors, I tell him, "Oh crap, we're gonna die..." but, as you can see, I am typing, Min is typing, we survived!!!
But next time? I'm not so sure we're gonna go through all those hassles, but we did learn alot.. so maybe I haven't learned my lesson/s. I'll let you know...

My first post
Well, my partner in crime, so to speak, suggested I start blogging my thoughts and whatnot, both IC and OOC. So here it is, my first one, it's not gonna be much, at least not right this instant.
Eve is much more of an adventure for Minuit, both IC and OOC! Minuit is the PVPer, Minuit is the one who boldly goes out and finds things for us to do, for Minuit to do, for Leilani to do. Both IC and OOC! Whether it's getting stronger for PVP or for combat sites, or for missions.
I am the homebody, I like to stay at home doing the gathering. I like to stay home and make the items for Minuit to take out and sell. It works out well for us I think! Owning our little piece of heaven is the best thing that happened to EVE for me. If we hadn't discovered WH living I dont think I'd still be playing. It's perfect for me, once in a while there's a little PVP for me. There's a lot of combat sites where I get to use my skills as a pilot and from which I've learned a LOT (a lot for me that is ;) about ships and whatnot, I get to loot the wrecks, and tear those same wrecks apart, discovering nifty things to sell to raise our wallet balance/s and now to make tech 3 items! I get to use my nifty skills to analyze and break the codes off containters, both of which are going to raise our wallet balances as well as help me to make things. I get to mine, both rocks and gases, sell those same things so as to, yup you guessed it, raise our wallet balances and make nifty things!
What else could a girl ask for in a game such as EVE Online?
